Happy Women's day

International Women’s Day is a day celebrated all over the world. This is a special day when women are recognized for the achievements they have made without regarding language, ethnic, national, economic or cultural divisions. This is an occasion for reflecting on past accomplishments and struggles. It’s, more importantly, a day for looking forward to the latent potential and opportunities waiting future generation of women. 

The United Nations began celebrating the day on 8 March during International Women’s Year in 1975. In December 1977, the General Assembly passed a resolution proclaiming a UN Day for Women Rights. The Day emerged first from activities of labor movements at the beginning of twentieth century across Europe and North America. Over ears, UN has promoted women participation as equal partners with men to achieve sustainable peace, development, security and basic human rights.
